I had tickets to see Andy Schauf in Jersey City and saw that she was touring with and opening for him so I checked out her Tiny Desk concert for NPR. I immediately liked her but then seeing her live was an altogether different experience. She's a phenomenal guitar player and her voice is just, ugh, I fell for her hard that night. I'm very glad I got to the show early and didn't miss the opening act that night, can't say the same about most openers. The cherry on top was two covers she closed with, Dave Van Ronk's Green Green Rocky Road and one by Townes Van Zant that I'm not sure of the title as she changed/adapted the lyrics. She's really a very special and rare talent, brilliant singer songwriter and guitar player, with a very charming stage presence. daveybear

The sweetness of the harmony and beauty of the tracks made me have to purchase this album. The vocals float like ethereal sprites with compelling warmness yet a certain captivating sadness as well. This is what Americana should sound like... this is what country should sound like... for it's so real and emotionally delivered... yet absolutely gorgeous. theexplodingogre
