I miss riding the trains in the city, and sitting next to strangers.
I miss this one weird game that I always felt like we were all playing together, in secret, in our heads. That game where we’d all imagine where the person riding across from us was coming from, or where they were going, or who they were texting, or what they were remembering, or what they looked like when they were 5.
I remember this time when I was listening in on these two people and one said, “We should’ve told them.”
The other replied, “Time doesn’t work for me.”

lyrics
Don’t know which one feels worse
Being here or knowing how
Can’t believe it’s true that I’ve no clue what you are up to now and
If I could go back in time then you’d know better
I’d have made more sure that you knew I cared you were fine
But time doesn’t work for me
Or you’d know better
Time doesn’t work for me
I’ve been chasing you through a dream all along
Can’t remember half of what I though I knew
The rest was wrong Oooh
If I could go back in time then you’d know better
I’d have made more sure that you knew I cared you were fine
But time doesn’t work for me
Or you’d know better
Time doesn’t work for me
No it’s no fair that when I’m next to you
I just can’t remember what on earth I’m meant to do
And time slips away you see
No time doesn’t work for me
